Since 2020, I’ve implemented several successful communications strategies that have increased engagement with multiple constituencies of Project Sunshine, a nonprofit that supports pediatric patients and their families through free in-person and virtual programming.
By revamping the content and optimizing the design of our email newsletter to our volunteers, I doubled the average open rate from the low-twenties to the high-forties over six months. This was key to keeping our volunteers, our largest constituency, dedicated to our mission in a time when they were unable to serve in person.
